MSLBD and CCBD

The Midwest Symposium has also been a close ally of the Council for Children with Behavior Disorders (CCBD), a professional organization affiliated with the Council for Exceptional Children. Although there have been no formal ties, numerous of the Symposium Planning Committee members have been active in the leadership of CCBD throughout its history. Most of the annual MSLBD conferences have been "approved activities" of CCBD, and it has been common to have state and regional CCBD meetings held in conjunction with the MSLBD conference. Some other cooperation with CCBD has occurred with CCBD and will be described later.
